Shopping can be very addictive to many and with e-marketing influence shopping is even easier to fall into the trap of convenient online shopping. 58% of Americans have researched a product or service online and 24% have posted comments or reviews online about the things they buy (by:Jansen). Clearly, this statistic shares the impact the use of internet is upon the consumer market nation wide. Online shopping pulls consumer to buy and share experiences of a product with each other creating a greater influence to buy or choose a specific item. The e-market has created a stronger and much closer connection between the people who are interested in the same products. Not only forming a bond between each other, but influencing each others' likes and dislikes.

This comes hand in hand with online promotions and friends sending e-mails to show you a product or store information that you wouldn't have known otherwise! Behavioral Advertising is a big factor that contributes to online shopping addiction by tracking the kinds of web sites a potential consumer surfs. Later, serving them ads based on their interests, regardless of what sites they visit, thus, taking the interest of their potential costumers.
